Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Cardiovascular Operating Room in Charlotte, NC. You will lead nursing staff in cardiothoracic, vascular, and robotics care, with access to two new CVORs and cutting-edge technology, including XI robot.

The role emphasizes leadership, patient-centered care, and collaboration with surgeons in a high-performing team environment. BSN required, RN license current in state, and prior management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Additional education, training, or certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication through staff meetings and huddles to share information.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to gauge satisfaction and care quality.
• Delegates care activities to appropriate staff per policy parameters.
• Identifies expected outcomes and guides department operations accordingly.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and disseminates information to teammates.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, and medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through ongoing assessment of volume and acuity.
