Job summary

A 27-bed Med-Telemetry unit at a Florida hospital is seeking an RN. You’ll care for neuro and cardiac patients, perform the full nursing process, administer meds, and educate patients to support recovery and prevention. Florida RN licensure and NIHSS coordination are required.

Compassionate care, patient safety, and high-quality outcomes drive daily practice on this acute care unit. BLS/ACLS certification are required with state licensure timelines to follow.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience required.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Florida RN license and/or approved multistate license; compact holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform full nursing process: observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by an authorized practitioner.
• Provide health teaching and counseling focused on recovery, wellness, and prevention.
• Prioritize patient safety and satisfaction on a 27-bed Med-Tele unit.
