Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Formal training in Allied Health or a healthcare field, or one year of patient care experience.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing surveillance of patients’ cardiac monitors and rhythms.
• Provide timely notification of changes to nursing staff.
• Interpret and document cardiac/hemodynamic rhythms in the EMR.
• Answer the telephone and communicate clearly.
• Orient and mentor new caregivers in CMU and nursing units.
• Provide shift reports to oncoming staff.
