Qualifications

Responsibilities

• As a Registered Nurse on the Cardiac Med/Surg unit, deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care while engaging patients and families throughout the continuum.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Apply evidence-based practices and participate in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and outcomes.
• Promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, intervening, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and team members.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols with accurate EHR documentation.
• Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, supporting team-based care and appropriate delegation.
• Potentially float to other units to support patient care.
• Uphold ANA Code of Ethics and contribute to an inclusive, patient-centered environment.
• Support professional development by completing required education and maintaining certifications.
