Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake seeks an Acute Inpatient Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for Cardiac Med/Surg. The CNC leads nursing care, directs shift operations, and collaborates with management to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires BSN, Texas RN license (or compact), BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and 1 year Med-Surg RN experience. The CNC also coaches staff, schedules labor, and supports supplies and equipment management in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
• BSN is required.
• Current RN license in Texas or Multi-State Compact.
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire.
• 1-year of clinical Med-Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with leaders to create teamwork that improves outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff to improve performance and engagement.
• Represent the organization positively in the community and at events and in-services.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and assist with supplies and equipment management.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Acute Inpatient Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for Cardiac Med/Surg ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• You will collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• You will function as a resource person for staff members. Provides coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• You will represent the organization positively within the community; participates in company-supported community/patient events and in-services.
• You will assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• You will supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required
• BSN is required
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire
• 1-year of clinical Med-Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required
