Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and to coordinate all unit functions during the shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and supports our values-driven patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Florida RN license or valid Compact Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Minimum one year acute care Medical/Surgical/Tele RN experience.
• One+ year as Charge Nurse in Acute Care Hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admissions and discharges to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
• Monitors and assesses quality of care with the management team.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improve patient outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Helps implement nursing strategies, including hourly rounds and staff engagement.
• Provides recommendations for interviewing, training, performance evaluations and policy compliance.
• Assists with staff scheduling to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Manages inventory and assists with supplies and equipment.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current State of Florida Registered RN License

Recognized Compact Licensure
