The role requires completing a radiologic technology program, ARRT certification or eligibility, and current BLS status. The technologist will maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and support patient comfort throughout imaging sessions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program accredited by ARRT.
• ARRT registration or eligible; CI/VI preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs fluoroscopic, interventional, and/or other specialized radiographic procedures to produce images of internal body organs and bones.
• Explains procedures to patient, obtains and records medical history relevant to the condition being viewed, selects appropriate equipment settings, and positions the patient in a manner to facilitate optimum imaging results.
• Views images to determine quality and forwards for review and interpretation; maintains applicable patient documentation.
• Maintains adequate supplies and a clean work area; reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assumes responsibility for patient safety; provides physical and psychological comfort to patient.
• Ensures compliance with workplace safety, environmental, exposure control, and/or infection control practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
