Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Patient Advocate to support patient care and safety across departments in Tupelo. You will protect patients, support sterile technique, assist in managing supplies and equipment, and contribute to training and performance goals.

The role emphasizes compassionate customer service, teamwork, and technical competency in physiological recordings and cardiac care. CPR and ACLS credentials are required or obtained within one year.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RT(R) or RN licensure.
• AHA CPR certification at HCP Level required.
• AHA ACLS certification required, or obtained in one year.
• Knowledge of cardiac patients, defibrillators, and Code Blue.
• Competent in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Protects patient from potential injury; selects operative setups and supplies to maintain sterile technique.
• Monitors customer service through assessment and evaluation; recommends actions for improvement.
• Coaches and assists team members in preparation, use and maintenance of supplies and equipment; assists in training new employees.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment, contrast media, and inventory; participates in required in-service education and credentialing.
• Assists the manager in identifying departmental goals and objectives; supports cross training.
