Job summary

Atrium Health’s Dickson Heart Intensive Care Unit at Carolinas Medical Center is a 20-bed, high-acuity cardiac ICU. The RN will provide and coordinate comprehensive cardiac care for critically ill patients, including those requiring advanced circulatory support, within a collaborative, evidence-based environment.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in the state, and BLS; ACLS is expected within six months.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 6 months of RN inpatient experience; new grads not eligible.
• RN license for the state of practice.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Use evidence-based practice to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
