Job summary

Harris Health System is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to provide expert nursing care in the assigned clinical area, following the Texas Nursing Practice Act and Harris Health Nursing Service standards. The NCII independently manages patient care with safety and clinical judgment, and collaborates with the team as needed to optimize outcomes.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of RN experience or GN program completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas
• Basic Life Support certification from AHA or Red Cross
• One year of RN experience or GN program completion

Responsibilities

• Independently and safely manages patients in the assigned clinical area
• Recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources
• Applies standards, principles and algorithms to clinical situations
