Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking Advanced Practice Professionals (APP) for the Cardiac ICU, with both NP and PA candidates considered. Five temporary positions require ICU experience and the ability to coordinate with the cardiovascular team for safe handoffs and comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in Michigan.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by nursing boards.
• DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification.
• 3–5 years APP ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories and physicals and document daily progress notes.
• Provide primary Code Team coverage for the Cardiac ICU Pavilion.
• Order tests, interpret results, and manage medications.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for patient handoffs and continuity of care.
• Perform procedures including arterial line placement and central venous access as applicable.
• Maintain documentation of patient status and treatments and support patient safety.
