Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our Heart & Vascular Institute in Akron, Ohio. The incoming physician will join an experienced team delivering innovative, patient-centered cardiovascular care within an integrated health system.

The role features a high-volume EP program with complex ablations, device therapy, and laser lead extractions, along with opportunities for academic appointment and salary guarantee. Epic EMR is used to support care delivery.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.
• Completion of Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship training.
• Unrestricted Ohio Licensure or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with lead extractions is preferred.
• Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 3.5 days in the EP lab and 1.5 days outpatient clinic per week.
• Inpatient EP consult service approximately 1 week every 5 weeks.
• Shared weekend and holiday call with strong physician support.
• Cardiology fellows assist with consults and inpatient coverage.
