Job summary

MedStar Washington Hospital Center, part of MedStar Health, seeks a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join the team. You will perform complex arrhythmia studies, evaluate EKGs, and design treatment plans, including device implantations and perioperative care.

Qualifications

• MD or foreign equivalent required.
• Completion of a three-year Internal Medicine residency; a three-year Cardiovascular Disease fellowship; and a two-year Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Perform studies to assess complex arrhythmias and design treatments and advancements.
• Implant devices to regulate heartbeats (pacemakers, ICDs) and manage inpatient care.
• Lead rounds, discharge planning, and post-operative assessments following electrophysiology procedures.
• Engage in research and retrospective studies in electrophysiology and related techniques.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree

Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease

Board Certification in Internal Medicine

DC medical license or eligibility
