Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, Florida is seeking a part-time EKG Technician to support the cardiology team. You will perform EKGs, verify orders, and provide courteous service to patients and staff in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong communication, independence, and basic math skills, with a certification in EKG technology preferred and a high school diploma required. Training and development opportunities are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.

• Ability to operate job necessary equipment efficiently.

• Certificate in EKG technology is preferred.
• Ability to read, write legibly and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarifies with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service and ensures effective communication among all caregivers.
• Performs EKGs accurately and efficiently.
• Maintains all equipment in proper working order.
• Completes delegated daily, weekly, and monthly tasks promptly.
• Interacts with patients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assists with patient care activities as needed.
• Participates in ongoing training and development to maintain skills and knowledge.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Other duties as assigned.
