Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be on feet for significant portions of the day while assisting patients.
• ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
• IV experience preferred.
• Must be EKG certified.

Responsibilities

• Inform and educate patients on EKG, treadmill and other nuclear procedures; prepare patients for procedures and supervise nuclear stress procedures.
• Attach electrodes to patients, connect leads to EKG machine, and operate EKG machine to obtain readings.
• Observe, monitor and record patients’ vital signs and health status.
• Obtain Prior Authorization from health insurance company prior to procedure being performed.
• Coordinate, schedule, and confirm patient exams and procedures within the department for referring physicians.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work therein.
