Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks an echocardiography technician to competently perform complete studies, document data accurately, and integrate imaging modalities using the Echo Information Management System and related software.

You will collaborate with Lead and Advanced Cardiac Sonographers, physicians, and other staff, participate in training, and support stress echo, outreach, on-call coverage as needed. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm, 13-week assignment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work with co-workers, physicians, and all levels of healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic procedures, and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete echocardiographic studies using all imaging modalities and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with lead and advanced cardiac sonographers, echocardiographers and physicians for interpretation of results.
• Assist in orientation, training, and education of trainees, students, and visitors in Cardiovascular Services.
• Coverage includes stress echo lab procedures, outreach, on-call, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Available for 24-hour call within a 30-minute response time.
• Must ensure patient care from neonate to geriatric populations and maintain sterile/prudent safety practices.
• Demonstrate proficiency in learning equipment and imaging procedures.
• Communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
• Be able to scan a full echo and report within about 75 minutes.
