Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Echocardiography Technician to perform diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echoes in a clinical setting in Winston-Salem, NC. You will record quality information, explain procedures to patients, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires performing portable scans, maintaining medical records, and supporting report completion with attention to guidelines. Travel and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program is required.
• Certification or registry in Echocardiography (RDCS) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Meets all qualifications of Echocardiography Tech II ladder.
• Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance and push/pull up to 450 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Record quality information during imaging while following protocols.
• Explain procedures and possible side effects to patients or family members.
• Confirm physician requests and evaluate clinical history for indicators and contraindications.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure quality patient care.
• Operate echocardiography equipment and maintain patient records.
• Organize study completion, interpretation, and final report stages.
