Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a Radiology Sonography Technologist to perform routine and complex echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies, delivering high-quality scans and tailoring procedures to each patient’s needs. You will document findings for physicians and participate in accurate data entry for patient records.

This PRN shift role requires strong English communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Must perform full range of diagnostic echocardiogram and/or vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Must operate all ultrasound systems and utilize the measurement package.
• Must recognize significant anatomical structures, artifacts, pathology.
• Ability to communicate procedures to patients clearly.
• Basic EKG knowledge.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to read/write/speak conversational English.
• Must function independently with little supervision.
• Knowledge of echocardiography principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex imaging studies.
• Enter testing data into patient records and communicate abnormal findings to physicians.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, coding, billing and reimbursement.
• Set up imaging equipment and operate transducers.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly department and manage supplies.
