Job summary

Military & Health Research Foundation seeks an Echocardiogram Technologist to join CRDAMC at Fort Hood, TX. You will perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound studies, operate specialist equipment, and collaborate with physicians to provide high-quality patient care to service members and families.

The ideal candidate has ACLS and RDCS credentials, a CAAPHEP-accredited cardiovascular technologist program, and at least 1 year of post-graduate experience in echocardiography.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program through the JRC-CVT.
• Formal, in-person cardiac sonography training required; online-only training not acceptable.
• Proof of formal training must be provided before performance begins.
• ACLS certification is required.
• RDCS certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of post-graduate clinical echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of cardiac diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
• Set up, operate, and maintain echocardiography equipment and probes.
• Coordinate with physicians for interpretation of results.
• Input patient data and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Explain procedures to patients to ease anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Maintain equipment and stock supplies; report needed repairs.
