Job summary

HCA Florida Heart Institute is seeking an Echo Technician to perform echocardiography procedures and operate sonar equipment in a daytime, Monday–Friday schedule. The incumbent will prepare patients, obtain quality images and assist the physician with interpretation and archiving.

Required: 1–3 years of echocardiology experience, ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing, international certification, and BLS. Certificate from an approved echocardiology program is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of echocardiology experience required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams, monitors progress and records results.
• Performs timely echocardiography procedures for physician evaluation.
• Performs quality control procedures to ensure quality exams and adheres to infection control policies.
• Performs QA on all sonar equipment.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas.
• Performs additional duties as required.
• Adheres to Physician Services policies and the Code of Conduct.
