Job summary

Arkansas Heart Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiograms and assist with advanced imaging procedures. You will work closely with cardiologists and nursing staff to deliver timely, accurate patient care in a fast-paced Echo lab.

The role covers 2-D/3-D echocardiography, Colorflow and Doppler techniques, along with potential stress and pharmacological studies, while maintaining equipment and documentation per policy.

Qualifications

• AS degree or approved certificate in diagnostic ultrasound required.
• RDCS/RCS eligible; certification within 6 months preferred or required.
• BLS within 90 days; ACLS prior to walk stress testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality echocardiograms using 2-D, 3-D, Colorflow, pulsed- and continuous-wave Doppler.
• Assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms; probe care, sterilization and safety.
• May perform stress and pharmacological echocardiograms.
• Provide physicians with preliminary reports; notify test results immediately when necessary.
• Order and stock Echo department supplies; maintain equipment and logs.
• Ensure studies are available to Cardiologist; perform point-of-care procedures per policy.
