Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, including stress echo and 2-D echocardiography with Doppler, under physician supervision. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular or applied sciences or equivalent.
• Six months experience in Echocardiography or related field preferred.
• Registered or registry-eligible as RDCS or RCS; ARDMS preferred; must be registered within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive cardiovascular imaging including Stress Echo, Dobutamine and 2-D Echo with Doppler.
• Assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms under physician supervision.
• Analyze test results and determine if additional tests are needed.
• Input preliminary report information into hospital system after physician dictation.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and participate in Quality Improvement.
• Teach and support medical trainees in lab methods and findings.

Education

Associate’s degree in cardiovascular or applied sciences

Registered or registry-eligible as RDCS or RCS (ARDMS preferred)

Registry within 12 months of hire
