Job summary

The Cardiac and Vascular Institute in Gainesville, FL is seeking a dynamic Cardiac Device Technician to monitor implanted devices, perform in-clinic interrogations, and educate patients on device management.

You will collaborate with cardiologists and the DEVICE SERVICES team to optimize therapy, troubleshoot issues, and support remote monitoring and documentation within the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Experience with cardiac device management or electrophysiology preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and device programming.
• Proficiency with remote monitoring platforms and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-clinic device interrogations and threshold testing.
• Assist in device programming and parameter adjustments under protocol.
• Review remote transmissions and triage alerts for physicians.
• Educate patients on device function, home monitoring, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and ensure billing codes are applied.
