Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant with cardiac device experience to support patient care in a busy cardiology/monitoring clinic. The role involves interrogating pacemakers and ICDs, coordinating care, and assisting with device-related documentation and follow-up.

The ideal candidate will have CPR/BLS/ACLS certification, CRAT license, and 2 years of cardiac clinic experience, with willingness to travel between locations and support multiple office sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/BLS/ACLS certification.
  • CRAT license/registry required.
  • Graduate of medical assistant certification program preferred.
  • Two years clinical experience in cardiac setting required; experience with heart monitoring devices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogate pacemakers/ICDs and troubleshoot devices in patients.
  • Coordinate treatment and care for patients with implanted devices.
  • Present patients to doctors and alert of device issues.
  • Ensure accurate charting, billing codes and physician approvals.
  • Coordinate clinic scheduling and device vendor coordination.
  • Educate patients on remote monitoring and follow-up care.
