Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking an experienced device clinic clinician to independently manage implanted cardiac pacemakers and ICDs under physician oversight. You will perform device interrogation, programming adjustments, and patient education in collaboration with the device team.

Responsibilities include assessing patients for device/rhythm issues, ensuring accurate device data, coordinating care, and supporting process improvements within the cardiac device program.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Cardiovascular experience: Preferred
• Training in pacemaker and device technology: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients clinically for device/rhythm issues and performs basic interrogation and adjustments to programming as per protocol.
• Assesses device (pacemaker or ICD) fuller with full interrogation and identification of sub-optimal programming and arrhythmias.
• Interprets patient's condition and communicates findings to physician and healthcare team; assists in process improvements and development of new clinical services.
• Works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment, ensures billing and scheduling accuracy for device services; mentors staff on technical skills.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
