About Us

Cardiac Study Center (CSC) has delivered outpatient cardiology care in the Puget Sound region for over 50 years. In 2016, CSC partnered with MultiCare Health System to launch Pulse Heart Institute (PHI) — an integrated network that unites cutting‑edge cardiology care, education, and innovation.

CSC remains the direct employer for all outpatient staff supporting Pulse. This gives our team members the advantage of working within a highly specialized and collaborative clinical environment while enjoying the agility of a smaller, people‑first organization.

Why You'll Love Working With Us
  • Join a renowned outpatient cardiology team committed to technology, teamwork, and innovation
  • Collaborate closely with leading electrophysiology and heart rhythm providers
  • Flexible 4‑day workweek (4x10s) with no weekends or holidays
  • Opportunity to travel to a variety of locations including Puyallup, Tacoma, Olympia, Auburn, and Silverdale
  • Leadership that supports certification pathways, training, and professional growth
About The Role

As a Cardiac Device Specialist, you'll be a key member of our Heart Rhythm/Device Department, managing the interrogation, evaluation, and programming of implantable cardiac devices (Pacemakers, ICDs, Loop Recorders). You will work under physician protocol to assess arrhythmias, document findings, and respond to urgent clinical needs—while supporting patients through education and care coordination.

This is a high‑autonomy role that combines clinical precision, technical proficiency, and compassionate patient interaction. You will play an active role in shaping outcomes and improving lives through device‑based cardiac therapy.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for device interrogations; provide education and informed consent
  • Perform comprehensive device evaluations, including rhythm analysis, threshold testing, and programming under protocol
  • Operate industry‑standard device programmers and troubleshoot as needed
  • Manage software and home monitoring systems for device tracking and alerts
  • Document visit summaries, clinical findings, and interventions in the EMR
  • Respond to emergency device evaluations and support the device on‑call rotation
  • Ensure accurate billing, coding, and documentation for compliance and reimbursement
Minimum Qualifications
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • 1+ year of experience in cardiac services (monitor tech, telemetry, electrophysiology, cardiovascular tech, or device tech)
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with cardiac pacing, rhythm analysis, or EP device management
  • OR 5+ years of device monitoring experience
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and device functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills for patient communication and team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vendor experience with device interrogation and programming platforms
  • Prior experience floating between cardiology clinics or working in multiple practice settings
  • Experience supporting remote home monitoring workflows
Certifications
  • Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) highly preferred
  • CCDS must be obtained within 2 years of hire if not already certified
Work Environment

This is a fully in‑office position based at our Olympia location, with occasional travel to other local clinics. All locations operate during regular business hours, Monday–Friday.
