Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on Washington's North Olympic Peninsula seeks a Cardiac Device Assistant for the Cardiac Rhythm Management Clinic. This 100% FTE, day-shift role supports clinicians with routine tasks and patient care.

You will perform MA duties, assist with device-related care, and help ensure smooth clinic operations while meeting WA DOH credential requirements and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Follows WA DOH requirements to obtain MA-C or LPN credential.
• One year of ambulatory office experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiology patients preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative tasks in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Clinic.
• Provides medical assistant services to patients in the clinic office.
• Assists the Physician, RN, or Cardiac Device Technician with patient care.

Job Description

The Cardiac Device Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative tasks in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Clinic, provides medical assistant services to patients in the clinic office, and assists the provider and/ or Cardiac Device Technician with patient care. This position functions in an assistant role to the Physician, Registered Nurse, or Cardiac Device Technician in the provision of patient care activities.

EDUCATION

• Follows current requirements to obtain a MA-C or LPN credential from the WA DOH.

Experience

• One year of experience in ambulatory office preferred.
• Experience working with cardiology patients preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant Certification or LPN required.
