Job description

Role Overview: The Cardiology Tech supports invasive cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory by providing technical assistance and basic patient care under RN supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient care tasks such as monitoring, assisting with procedures, and preparing rooms.
• Support technical aspects by operating specialized equipment, establishing lines, and maintaining supplies.
• Assist with catheter and sheath removal, patient assessments, and post-procedure instructions.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement, inventory management, and age-specific patient care.
• Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards.
• Qualifications include a high school diploma, previous Cath Lab experience, BLS certification, and preferred radiology or Cath Lab credentials.

Skills & Conditions: Prolonged standing, patient transfers, use of protective gear, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and radiation. Physical ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs is required.
