Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technology professional in Louisville, KY to prepare patients and assist in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures under the supervision of RNs, RTRs and Cardiologists.

Responsibilities include imaging, radiation safety, pre/post procedural teaching, and meticulous documentation. RCIS certification (or within 18 months), BLS, and ideally ACLS within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program.
• RCIS certification or acquired within 18 months of employment.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or acquired within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization under supervision.
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.
• Maintain sterile technique and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
• Document procedure steps and post-procedure care in patient chart.
