Ideal candidates have an accessible mix of cardiovascular technology education, BLS/ACLS/PALS and the ability to work under supervision while delivering quality care to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Required - Technical Degree or Diploma Cardiovascular Technology.
• Preferred - Associates Degree Nursing.
• Preferred - High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies.
• Preferred - Technical Degree or Diploma Emerg Medical Tech (EMT).
• Preferred - Technical Degree or Diploma Paramedic.
• Preferred - Technical Degree or Diploma Respiratory Therapy.
• Preferred - Technical Degree or Diploma Surgical Technology.
• Preferred - Technical Degree or Diploma Ultrasound.
• Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support, State EMS, and various professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, assists physician during cardiovascular diagnostic, cardiac interventional or electrophysiology procedures.
• Performs scrub, monitor, or circulate during surgical procedures.
• Responds to emergencies and on-call requirements.
• Educates patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care.
• Administers contrast media and medications within policy.
• Documents care in patient records and maintains regulatory compliance.
