Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join a busy team. In this role you'll work with physicians using advanced cath lab technology to deliver lifesaving cardiac care, while guiding patients and families through their treatment journey.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm with 8 on-call shifts per month; required qualifications include RCIS/ARRT preferred, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and experience in cath labs. We offer comprehensive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS must be obtained within 6 months.
• One year of Cath Lab experience or equivalent clinical experience.
• RCIS licensure (CCI) or ARRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Prepare and support patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain cath lab equipment to deliver safe treatment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion.
• Maintain a sterile, safe environment and advocate for every patient.

Schedule:Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm. 8 call shifts/month.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduateof an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technologyprogram preferred.Two years ofexperiencein a cardiac-related fieldmay be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technologist (CVT) program.
• CurrentBLS Certification fromAmerican Heart Association or American Red Crossrequiredupon hire.ACLS Certification fromAmerican Heart Association or American Red Crossrequiredwithin 6 months of hire.
• RCISlicensure (from CCI) OR ARRTpreferred
• Oneyearofexperience in Cath lab, or equivalent clinical experience as part ofeducationalprogram.OJT with current twoyearsormore ofexperience may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program and RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy & physiology. Able to complete at six months a hemodynamic test and arrhythmia recognition test.
