Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Fort Wayne. The role offers full-time hours (0.8 FTE, days) with call 1 day a week and every 6th weekend, plus comprehensive benefits starting after hire.

Responsibilities include coordinated patient-centered care, medication administration, and assisting physicians during procedures. Strong clinical skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure is required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• NRP preferred.
• Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Document assessments and changes in condition accurately.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures in the cath lab.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
• Maintain infection control standards and safety.
