Job summary

Cardio-Kidney Vascular Care LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role involves pre, intra, and post-procedure assessment, planning, and patient safety, acting as circulating/procedural nurse, and preparing rooms per physician needs.

Responsibilities include chart reviews, timely order processing, incident reporting, infection control, sterile technique, and IV therapy. Strong cardiac rhythm knowledge and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Two years cardiac cath lab experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Strong ACLS skills.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Kansas RN license.
• Communicates and works effectively with people.
• Maintains current BLS/ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certificate, not required to be hired, but will need to complete NIHSS upon starting position.

Responsibilities

• Review patient's chart for medications, history and physical, labs, and plan for procedure.
• Assess patient wayfinding: physiological, psychosocial, safety, and educational needs.
• Recognize and report changes in patient status.
• Process physician's orders in a timely manner.
• Prioritize patient needs, physician requests and interdepartmental workflow.
• Document pertinent information into the patient chart.
• Provide medication as ordered.
• Advocate for safe delivery of care.
• Complete Nursing Assessment Notes in a timely manner.
• Circulate and assist on cardiac/vascular/nephrology procedures.
• Utilize measures to prevent infection.
• Manage and operate equipment safely.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile techniques.
• Assist the physician with patient assessment.
• Provide a safe and private environment for the patient.
• Demonstrate competence in intravenous therapy.
