UnityPoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Diagnostic Cardiology team, serving patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. You will act as primary circulator and scrub, collaborating with physicians and technical staff to ensure patient safety and quality care.

The role emphasizes professional development, patient education, and adherence to ANA standards, with a focus on safety, documentation, and teamwork in a fast-paced cath lab environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as an RN in Iowa.
• BLS certification or obtain within 3 months from hire date.
• CORE certification within 6 months from hire date.
• Fluent English.
• Multicultural sensitivity.
• Microsoft Office – basic computer skills.
• Customer/patient focused.
• Critical thinking using independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures and provide teaching and referrals.
• Assist physicians with individual care plans in collaboration with patient/family and health care team.
• Complete documentation promptly to ensure a complete medical record.
• Deliver high-quality care per policies and standards under physician supervision.
• Demonstrate proficiency with equipment and sterile technique in the cardiac cath lab.
