Job summary

Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Cardiac Cath Lab on the day shift. The Lab performs diagnostic and interventional procedures with state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a cardiac cath lab, BSN preferred, and current BCLS and ACLS certifications. On-call within 30 minutes and ability to scrub and circulate during procedures are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• 2 years in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic, and rhythm interpretation.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications; CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in diagnostic catheterizations and PCIs.
• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient sedation levels.
• Prepare patients for procedures and administer medications pre, intra and post procedure.
• Utilize EMR and maintain meticulous documentation of procedures.
• Educate patients on medications, lifestyle, and postoperative care.
• Assist in procedures like temporary pacemaker implantation, balloon angioplasty and stent placement.
