Job summary

Ardent Health seeks a day shift/PRN Vascular Endoscopy Lab RN in Tyler, TX to provide patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will work with cardiologists and a multidisciplinary team, applying the nursing process and best practices to adults and geriatric patients.

Candidates must hold an RN license in Texas, with BLS, ACLS, and a degree in nursing; on-call availability within 30 minutes; prior cath lab or critical care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Associates Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing.
• Must maintain current Texas RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS
• Should possess basic computing knowledge and skills
• One-year critical care or cardiac catheterization laboratory experience

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and directs patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame using the nursing process.
• The Cardiac Catheterization RN assists the Cardiologist with procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• This includes Cardiovascular studies/interventions and Special Procedure studies/interventions.
• The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients.
• On-Call is required; must respond and arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes.
• The RN is responsible for direct patient care during the procedure.
