Job summary

Mercy Health in Kentucky is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for Lourdes Hospital. The role involves delivering exceptional nursing care, collaborating with the care team, and developing patient care plans to improve outcomes in a high-acuity cardiac lab setting.

The ideal candidate has RN experience in telemetry or critical care, with BLS and ACLS credentials. A BSN is preferred and on-call duties, including STEMI rapid responses, are required.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR (required).
• BLS/ACLS certification (preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months).
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Synthesizes and prioritizes information to take evidence-based action.
• Responds to changing patient conditions with confidence.
• Participates in on-call system for emergencies and urgent procedures; respond to STEMI call backs within 30 minutes.
• Administers medications according to policy.
