Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Observation Unit in Tucson, AZ. This 13-week contract entails direct patient care for cardiac procedures and coordination with the physicians during examinations and interventions.

The role requires an active Arizona or compact-state RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and experience in PACU/ICU/telemetry or cath lab settings. Varied shifts with 3 x 12s and rotating call on weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience in PACU, ICU, telemetry, cath lab, or surgery center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit and prep patients for catheterization procedures.
• Start IVs and prepare access for procedures.
• Prep patients for cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Recover patients post-procedure who received conscious sedation.
• Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures including cardioversions and TEE.
• Discharge patients with appropriate teaching, documentation, and physical discharge procedures.
