Job summary

Expect 4 - 10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday with rotating on-call coverage. Candidates should have an RN license, BLS, and BSN preferred, with strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges in required states.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Telehealth/virtual practice compliance as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Evaluates outcomes and takes action to improve patient and unit results.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Communicates effectively, provides feedback, and delegates appropriately.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and supports ethical patient care.
• Ability to float to other units as needed within service area.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
