Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health in Washington, DC invites experienced RNs to join the Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology team. This full-time role focuses on diagnostic and minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, patient assessment, sedation monitoring, recovery care, and emergency response within a busy lab environment.

The ideal candidate will have a DC RN license, BSN preferred, and 2+ years in Cath Lab/IR settings, with BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• DC RN License required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab or IR experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cath and IR procedures.
• Prepare patients with history review, consent, IV access and education.
• Monitor hemodynamics, rhythm, and moderate sedation during procedures.
• Assist with angiograms, angioplasty, stent placement and thrombectomy.
• Operate hemodynamic equipment and manage emergencies.
• Provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge education.
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain safety standards.
