Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St Lucie is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role combines clinical leadership with administrative duties, focusing on staff scheduling, education, and pathology coordination to ensure high-quality cardiovascular care.

You will supervise clinical operations, guide caregiver performance, and collaborate with providers to optimize patient outcomes within a state-of-the-art cath lab environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Two years of previous Cath Lab or critical care experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.
• Provide effective and efficient patient care to all ages on assigned shifts.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments.
• Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts.
• Coordinate patient admitting, discharges, transfers, and other operational issues.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers and counsel on performance issues.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Monitor adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new personnel and in-service educational programs.
• Assume responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in their absence.
