Job summary

Advocate Health's Cardiac Care Unit is seeking a Nurse Technician to provide patient care and support the licensed nurses. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM at High Point Medical Center in North Carolina.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, documentation, communication, and coordination of meals, safety, and admissions/discharges. Requires NC Nurse Aide I, high school diploma, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NC State Approved Nurse Aide I course completion required.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and maintain safety.
• Relay messages, answer phones, and maintain records.
• Record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and patient data; collect specimens.
• Assist with meals and discharge planning.
• Attend unit meetings and continuing education programs.
