Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens physician to provide anesthesia coverage in California. The assignment features 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with evenings on-call coverage on select dates and 5–8 patients per shift for adult patients.

You will cover general anesthesia when cardiac cases are not available and work in open heart, thoracic, complex vascular, and neurosurgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Open heart, thoracic, complex vascular and neurosurgical cases required.
• Central line and arterial line placement required.
• Must cover general anesthesia when no cardiac cases available.
• 5–8 patients per shift; 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for open heart, thoracic, vascular and neuro cases.
• Cover general anesthesia when cardiac cases are unavailable.
• Perform central line and arterial line placements as needed.
• Manage 5–8 patients per shift during assignments.
• Occasional call coverage on select dates 5 pm–7 am.
