Card Operations Program Administrator
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $70,400 - $72,000 annually
About The Role
We are seeking a Card Operations Program Administrator to support Card Operations leadership in the planning, execution, and management of card-related projects, product enhancements, system improvements, and operational initiatives. This role serves as a key liaison between Card Operations, IT, Project Management, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives and operational excellence.
Important: Direct experience within a Card Operations/Card Services environment is required and non-negotiable. Candidates should have recent, hands-on experience supporting card products, card processing systems, or card servicing operations within a financial institution.
Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
- Lead and support Card Operations projects from planning through implementation.
- Coordinate with IT, project management teams, vendors, and business partners on system enhancements and process improvements.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and success metrics.
- Track project progress, manage risks and issues, and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain project documentation.
Card Operations & Systems Administration
- Administer card processing and servicing platforms, including user access management and security permissions.
- Perform system audits, user maintenance, and access reviews.
- Support testing, validation, and implementation of system enhancements and new functionality.
- Partner with technical teams to define business requirements and ensure successful deployment of card-related initiatives.
Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct research and analysis to support card portfolio growth, operational improvements, and promotional initiatives.
- Develop recommendations based on data analysis and business needs.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, project outcomes, and promotional results.
- Resolve issues related to card operations initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Create and maintain operational procedures, communications, FAQs, and departmental documentation.
- Support process improvement efforts and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and member/customer experience.
- Assist with development and maintenance of operational controls and best practices.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a liaison between Card Operations, vendors, processors, and external partners.
- Monitor vendor performance and service level agreements.
- Assist with RFP responses, cost-benefit analyses, and vendor evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives and project priorities.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to applicable federal and state regulations and internal policies.
- Support compliance initiatives related to card operations, fraud prevention, security, and operational controls.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and card services best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of project management, project coordination, or project support experience.
- Direct experience in a Card Operations/Card Services environment.
- Experience working with card processing platforms and credit/debit card systems.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a credit union, banking, or financial services environment.
- Exposure to process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of card servicing, payment processing, fraud operations, or card portfolio management.
- Experience supporting vendors, processors, and third-party service providers.
