American Bureau of Shipping is seeking an Engineer, Senior II, Technology to drive R&D in machinery and systems for marine and offshore applications. The role emphasizes leading technology maturity assessments, developing guidance, and supporting technical communities within ABS.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years of engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/marine/chemical/environmental engineering, with MS preferred.
The Engineer, Senior II, Technology will be actively engaged in driving industry‑leading research and development associated with machinery and systems for marine and offshore applications.
Reports, as assigned, to an MPE, SMPE, Manager or Director.
Work is primarily sedentary. Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position requires access to information that is subject to control by the Export Administration Regulations and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
