Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in process technology is a strong plus.
• At least three years of experience in a plant or refinery setting preferred.
• Familiarity with DCS used in chemical manufacturing is highly desired.
• Good organizational, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Willingness to work rotating 12 hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must be able to pass Cobra and Ramsey test.

Responsibilities

• Operate furnaces, boilers, mixers, pelletizers, pumps, blowers and other process equipment to meet quality and production targets.
• Monitor and perform field checks of process equipment and systems to ensure proper operation.
• Take readings, collect samples, and conduct inspections as part of routine tasks.
• Respond to unplanned events that impact plant operations and production.
• Operate the distributed control system (DCS) that manages plant operations.
• Complete production reports, documents, and logs, including documenting environmental releases and accident reports.
• Enter process data into SAP and ensure accuracy of information and data input.
