Job summary

Splash In ECO Car Wash in Newark, DE is hiring a part-time Team Member to operate the tunnel car wash, greet customers, and guide them through payment and wash preparation steps. You will assist with vehicle prep, monitor water and chemical levels, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the facility.

The role requires outdoor work, lifting up to 30 lbs, and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) - or ability to complete GED program.
• Comfortable working outdoors, assisting customers, and upselling products when appropriate.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Tunnel Car Wash Team Member – Splash In Location: Newark, DE
Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time (days, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required)

What you’ll make an impact

• Operate the tunnel car wash system by following standard procedures and keeping equipment running effectively.
• Monitor tunnel performance, water/chemical levels, and flag issues promptly to keep operations moving.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and guide them through payment and wash preparation steps.
• Help customers prep vehicles for the wash (e.g., guiding onto conveyor, confirming windows closed, antennas retracted, and loose items secured).
• Follow all safety protocols, including chemical handling, PPE use, and traffic flow guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness across the facility (tunnel, wash bay, vac areas, trash, and general site upkeep).
• Pitch in where needed—tire shine, loading, stocking, greeting—to support efficiency and the overall customer experience.

What we’re looking for

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) -or- ability to complete employer-paid GED program.
• Comfortable working outdoors, assisting customers, and recommending/upselling products when appropriate.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays (car washes operate 7 days a week).
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
