Job summary

LUV Car Wash is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our mechanical and electrical car wash equipment in top condition across multiple locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair complex systems while supporting facility work and inventory control.

Join a growing team and help ensure reliable operations at 5–6 car washes, with on-call overtime and shifts that accommodate on-site maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical car wash equipment across 5–6 sites.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on car wash components.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment (pumps, motors, hydraulics, conveyors).
• Assist with facility work (concrete, plumbing, electrical, framing).
• Order parts and maintain stock to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Regional Service Manager and Operations for scheduling.
• Conduct site inspections for preventive maintenance/repairs.
• Install new carwash components as needed.
• Address emergency breakdowns promptly.
• Adhere to OSHA guidance and LOTO procedures.

General Summary Of Duties

The Maintenance Technician will maintain the mechanical and electrical car wash equipment in an assigned region. Our Maintenance Technician will perform general preventive maintenance on all car wash components, repair, troubleshoot faulty equipment, facility repair and document site visits per LUV Car Wash policy.

Reports to: Director of Facilities Maintenance

FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

Physical Demands

• Lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
• Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• See clearly and respond to dangerous situations.
• Safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds or more
• Work in extreme weather.
• Work in a wet environment and wear PPE correctly throughout the day.

Essential Functions

• Maintain the mechanical and electrical systems at approximately 5-6 car washes in an assigned region.
• Perform occasional weekly, monthly, and annual scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical components in car wash systems.
• Troubleshoot faulty equipment and make necessary repairs to normal operation, including but not limited to pumps, motors, hydraulics, tunnel equipment and electrical components of MCC, Controller and other electrical items.
• Help Operations team with select facility work such as concrete, plumbing, electrical, framing, appliance or ground repair. (E.g. saw cutting trench, install poly lines underground, fix signage, or install canopies)
• Occasionally Order necessary replacement parts and keep stock of necessary spare parts on hand to reduce Carwash downtime. Conduct Inventory of parts on truck and submit truck inspection report.
• Work with Regional Service Manager, Dispatch and Operations team to ensure proper scheduling of projects/repairs.
• Conduct site inspections to find or complete preventative maintenance/repairs on equipment such as hydraulic hose, air compressors, and conveyor chains.
• Install and/or assist with installation of new carwash components as needed.
• Address and repair emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Adhere to OSHA guidance and safety protocols.
• LOTO compliance procedures.
