Job summary

Circle K in Phoenix is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations at the 1702 N 44th St location. You will train staff, supervise shifts, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and retail/management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year retail and management work experience preferred.
• Leadership and communication skills including active listening.
• Experience with team building
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Ability to anticipate customer needs

Responsibilities

• Train and coach staff, engage employees and recognition.
• Performs shift supervision and assumes Site Manager’s responsibilities when needed.
• Perform and train all duties of CSR, S1, S2 positions in accordance with company guidelines and performance standards.
• Provides prompt, courteous customer service and professionally resolves customer issues.
• Ensure that customers are satisfied and that any inquiries, incidents and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Reports all incidents to the Site Manager
• Ensure the site follows all approved safety procedures.
• Ensure the site follows all approved vehicle damage claim procedures.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Ability to have open availability.
• Ability to work opposite shift of Site Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to successfully train, and coach staff, perform activities around employee engagement, and recognition.
• Performs shift supervision and assumes Site Manager’s responsibilities when needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

EXPERIENCE:

Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role. Candidates with supervisory experience from a Big box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.

• Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE). This person must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
