LaFontaine Automotive Group, founded in 1980, seeks an Automotive Sales Consultant to drive car sales by understanding features, benefits and financing options. You will engage customers, demonstrate vehicles, and guide them through the purchase process to build lasting relationships.

The role emphasizes product knowledge, customer service, and teamwork within a growing, community-focused dealer group that operates multiple brands across Michigan.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret general business materials.
• Able to write reports and business correspondence.
• Able to present information clearly to groups of customers and managers.
• Able to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Able to follow written, oral, or scheduled instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and identify vehicle needs.
• Explain features and demonstrate vehicle operation in showroom or on road.
• Suggest optional equipment for customers to purchase.
• Research model availability and options.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager to quote price including tax and financing terms.
• Prepare all sales paperwork and applications.
• Deliver vehicles and educate customers on features, warranty, and paperwork.
• Maintain a prospect development system.
• Stay informed about new products and accessories.
• Attend sales meetings and training as scheduled.
